HFCA Weekend Workshops - Wildflower & Herbs

The next HCFA Weekend Workshop takes place on Saturday 18th June and is about Wildflower & Herb - identification & uses

Subject: The culinary and medicinal properties of plants are limitless – but sometimes our limited knowledge prevents us from utilising this untapped resource. During the workshop Debbie Syrett, a medicinal herbalist, will help to locate both cultivated and wild plants on the HCFA site and enlighten us as to their uses. She will also being showing attendees how to make a herbal tincture as well as how to dry herbs.

Guest speaker: Debbie Syrett, herbalist at the Forest Farm Peace Garden, Hinault.

Date: 18th June

Time: 10:30 to 12:30

Venue: Faggs Road allotments, Feltham - www.hcfa.org.uk/faggs-road-site

Cost: £5 entrance fee

Volunteering with the HCFA

If you would like to become a member or gain practical experience in horticulture, by lending a hand on site, HCFA holds work days on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays & Saturdays between 10am and 12.30pm.
