Herb garden.... done!

Tuesday, 20 April 2010 08:44 Written by Paul Davis

Another successful workshop on Saturday (17th April) saw the HCFA herb garden planted!

The handful of eager participants, young and old, were treated to what must have been the best day of the year so far, glorious warm sun and no planes in the sky!

Rhed Evans formerly of Groundwork UK, led the group in planting out the various herbs which included a mix of culinary and medicinal species. Rhed also talked about how to propogate, divide and plant out the different varieties. The HCFA would like to thank Rhed for his time and for those who attended for making the morning a success. A special thankyou again to Nathan for the teas, coffees and sausage sandwiches!

So bit by bit the Faggs Road site is beginning to take shape! Remember you can come down and help out on Tuesday's and weekends, see our calendar for details. Our next workshop is for Root Vegetables and takes place on Saturday 1st May.

We hope you can make it along!
