Corn Chamomile

Corn Chamomile UKwildflowers

Chamaemelum nobile

It looks like a typical daisy but the strong aromatic smell of the crushed leaves give it away. It appears from Scientific studies that Chamomile tea is effective for keeping colds at bay.

This plant is found mostly in the south and southwest of England, southwest Ireland as well as the Channel Islands and where this one was photographed. It is dotted here and there in other parts of Wales, Scotland and Ireland but there are few records.
